MIME messages will not be blocked, but may look bizarre, with lots of equal signs, hexadecimal codes, and mangled margins. I suggest that they be turned off not just for this list but for everyone (except by prior arrangement, in the unlikely case you can find someone who *prefers* messages in such formats). If your mailer doesn't allow you easily turn off these features, in fact if it doesn't *warn* you whenever they *haven't* been turned off, I strongly suggest you get a better mailer. Also, it's seldom necessary to quote *all* of a message you're replying to, especially if it quotes all of yet another message. The purpose of quoting is to establish context. Quoting *everything* is like soaking a textbook in highlighter ink. And I really have to wonder what someone was thinking -- or should I say what they were smoking -- when they quote off-topic gibberish and ads automatically added by Yahoo! on the other list. Unless the intention was to comment on them or call attention to them, which it doesn't seem to be.
