First one gave me a 404; the second worked.

I'd like to see more of this; I did see something in the NYT.

I just *adore* folks who rant about how the EPA has "hurt Amerkan
bidness". I, personally, remember the fifties and sixties. When I was
about 4 or so, there was still a boat ride down the Delaware from Philly
to an amusement park called Riverside Park. You got tickets for the boat
and entrance to the park. I remember standing on the top deck of the
ferry, with my folks, and the smell of human shit is still in my memory,
it being dumped, raw, into the river. I also remember going out with my
folks to the airport, to see the planes take off and land, and as we went
through far south Philly, there are *five* huge, major oil refineries, and
we'd roll up the windows to try to block some of the smell. We'd wonder
how people could live near that.

Today, there's no smell, and the Delaware was cleaned up enough to have
dinner cruise boats on it by the mid/late eighties.

So those who complain can take it and shove it where the sun don't shine.
Long live the EPA!
