Just to clarify:
In point of fact, the subject line ("gah!" etc.)
refers to my second post, in which I took care to
create an entirely new post, cutting and pasting
what I quoted through Notepad in order to strip
whatever it is that made a mess like that happen
when I tried a direct response.
My second post appeared just fine onscreen.
Then Mike Walsh quoted what I typed, and I assume
it was his system interface that threw in the hash.
I do my best not to post in html even by quotation,
but occasionally I make the mistake of trying to
do a simple "reply."
