"Bayes' rule appears to be
a straightforward, one-line theorem:

By updating our initial beliefs
with objective new information,
we get a new and improved belief."
--excerpt from the unsigned book review

I wish I knew whether that was a quote from the book
or a succinct reformulation by the unnamed reviewer.
I'd like to accredit it correctly.
It would make a wonderful button slogan. I feel that
it should be engraved on doorways and posted on walls
everywhere.
