Why are you surprised? a) it's an IBM system; b) very, very few companies that have more than one mailserver as the one and only biggest computer in the company throw out everything they have and buy new boxes and migrate to another o/s anywhere near once in 15-20 years (we'll ignore WinDoze, that's desktop, and not server).
