It figures that an anti-gun organization like the CDC would leave out
the most important tools to have in a Zombie Apocalypse.  I'd add a
30-06 rifle for long range work (M1 Garand for instance), a 12 ga
shotgun and a cartridge belt for closer range work, an M1918 .45 ACP for
use in tight spaces or while reloading, a machete (in case the
ammunition runs low, or you need a stealth take down), a fire axe (to
open stubborn doors in dead-end alleys), and a maybe a flame thrower
(area denial weapon) if I have a vehicle to haul it with.

An ATV with a sprayer tank (often used on small farms and available from
Harbor Freight), filled with gasoline and a accompanied by a supply of
road flares can substitute for the flame thrower well enough.  Making a
few Molotov cocktails wouldn't be a bad idea either.

As far as a dress code goes, some SCA-type leather armor wouldn't hurt.
