The Awards were also mentioned in Shelf Awareness today:
http://www.shelf-awareness.com/ar/theshelf/2011-05-23/awards_nebula_winners=
.html or http://tinyurl.com/3w9cl63 - it's a daily book newsletter with =
"over 20,000 subscribers. The list consists mainly of booksellers, =
librarians and publishing professionals. Of the booksellers, many are =
independents, but the buyers at B&N, Borders and Amazon read us daily as =
well."

Anyway, I had a nice time there. Helped out with the book signing, and =
ironically enough was unable to get anything signed.

And perhaps it could have been a sign of the Apocalypse: got to the =
Washington Hilton way later than I had hoped. Pulled into the street which =
runs in front of the hotel, heading for hotel parking ... but wait!

A legal parking space right in front of the hotel.

With enough time on the meter to take it to 6.30 when street parking is =
free.
