I could swear it was 23 May, which also happens to be my Eldest's b'day.
But in 1977, I was walking down Chestnut St. in Philly w/ the lady I was
living with at the time, and saw a number of friends from PSFS in line
at a theater. We wandered over, and I asked what they were waiting to
see. They were surprised that I'd heard nothing of this movie, and
invited me to join them. My lady didn't care to join us, so she headed
home, and I got in line.

Which was how I was in the theater opening night. The utter shock when
the Star Destroyer comes over... and over... and over was wonderful, and
the first time the Millenium Falcon makes lightspeed, you could have
heard the cheering blocks away.
