I read it earlier this year and really enjoyed it, but was bothered by the fact that it
was clearly two stories.  In any event I now want to read more of his work.

In the book it sounds as if water testers are very expensive so I just went with that
rather than thinking about it.  When you commented I suddenly remembered hearing about
home water testers in an article about the aftermath of flooding.
