To: WSFA members <WSFAlist at KeithLynch.net> Reply-To: WSFA members <WSFAlist at KeithLynch.net> The stated reason for filming in 2-D and then converting to 3-D was to achieve "the look and feel" of the cult fan onstage performances that are done simultaneously as the movie is playing at midnight showings. The onstage performances are live, generally done by amateurs. >From what I hear, the lighting is not intended for a stage performance; it's intended for a movie. Thus, it's bad lighting, probably bad acting (listen for the howls of outrage from the Rocky Horror fans), and done to hoots and yells from the crowd, who have long since stopped paying much attention to the actual movie in favor of their own shenanigans. So a 2-D movie that has been converted (badly, one assumes) to 3-D is almost a perfect analogue of a 2-D movie that is being badly acted by live people (really 3-D!) at the same time. It's a dumb idea, but so is what he's copying... =Tamar
