Y'know, they talk about How They're Getting More Miles Per Gallon... in '07, I saw billboards saying how the (downsized from the nineties) Corolla got 35 MPG. My Dearly Departed Beloved Toyota Tercel wagon, 1986, bought in '88 used, with a *carburetor*, in 2000 or 2001, before it died, when I tuned it up, was still getting 35-36 mpg. And for some obscure reason, our 2005 Jetta wagon, same size about, fuel injected, computer controlled, etc, gets, if we're lucky, 31 mpg.... mark -- "Few can believe that suffering, especially by others, is in vain.
