Well, yes - the Tercel, esp. from around then, *was* underpowered, and you couldn't fit a larger engine.. My late wife and I agreed that when it needed an engine rebuild, we were going to take it to a performance shop and after the mechanics had picked themselves up off the floor and caught their breaths from laughing so hard, we were going to have them grind out the cylinder walls as much as they could, and put in larger pistons.... mark -- A clear view of the libertarian view of the world: our lives are merely capital's way of reproducing itself. - whitroth, 2003
