And, let's note, this country has been trying to get, and wanting, a
national health system for 60 or 80 years. In the early nineties, I was in a
bar in Austin, TX, meeting someone, and this wasn't a hippy bar, and on the
TV, Pres. Clinton was announcing his initiative, and when he said that we'd
all have one card, and this would do for *all* healthcare, the entire bar,
every person, cheered and clapped.

And then there's the FACT that the Republicans have done ZERO for healthcare.

I, personally, was treated for cancer the first half of '01. In late '02,
trying to find something cheaper than COBRA, on a presumably recorded call,
an official rep of BC/BS of IL told me, in so many words, that "no company
in the country would even talk to me until at least five years after the end
of chemo." Got that, NO ONE.

In late '08, on COBRA again, again trying to find something cheaper, two
national companies, one was Humana, told me they would not offer me coverage
at *any* price. Period.

So, unless I'm covered by an employer or COBRA, I CAN NOT BUY medical
insurance in the US. So, why do you, Mike B, want me to die (if the cancer
comes back), AND to die bankrupt, hurting my family as well?

Why do you want me to die?
