Hi, folks,

I've got a techie friend, a professional computer consultant, works with small
and large businesses, who writes:
***************
I've been on my own for 10 years now as an incorporation. Some years ago, I
got Professional Liability insurance (E&O). It was reasonable as these things
go, about $1400/year.

This year, the carrier said they're terminating the group that provided
that coverage, and would transition me to another group. After another
questionnaire--one that gave me some cause for trepidation, as it
considered having lawyers as clients a "risk factor"--I've received their
renewal quote.

$3142/year.

Sheesh...I've been in business 10 years, never had a claim, never had a
lawsuit...whatthehell?
***************

Anyone have recommendations of companies for him? He's in Chi-town. Reply
offlist, if you want.
