"You may have heard this sad news already. It is with much sorrow that
we let you know that our dear brother, John Thomas Madigan, died this
afternoon at about 4:30.

John passed very peacefully at home, surrounded by family and beloved
friends. All who knew him, loved him and spent time with him were
touched by his unique spirit and gentle soul.

Plans are being made for a memorial service in the Greenbelt, MD area.
Stay tuned for details in the next few weeks."
