Sorry to bring up politics here, but for those who do, or are considering
contributing to WAMU, I urge you in the strongest possible terms to *NOT*
contribute. Yesterday morning, they mentioned their new sponsor: Koch Industries.

Yeah, that's the Koch brothers.

I've seen this before, when NPR first sold out, in '95/'96. I think it was the
summer of '96, and Congress was having hearings on Archer-Daniels-Midland for
monopoly practices, bribery, etc. Middle of that week, suddenly, ADM was a
contributor, and over the next couple of days, coverage, not the hearings,
wound down to nothing at all.
