Well, no one had any suggestions, so I had to google. Found four or five in
the Silver Spring area. I looked at the highest rated one, read
"uncompromising commitment to somethingorther sound", and wrote that one off,
figuring they were interested in selling me a $1000 sound system, subwoofers,
just the thing to entertain everyone at the traffic light for a block around.

Then I looked at the second rated one, DSP. They seemed reasonable. I called,
and talked to the guy... and the ballpark he quoted me was reasonable. Made an
appt for this past Sat.

He did *not* try to sell me the $600 or $800 one. He *listened* to what I
wanted, and offered me one for $100. I mentioned maybe sticking in a USB key
and just playing what was on it, and we went up Big Bucks... to $110.

Of course, installation, and the surround to replace the huge thing that was
in the dash more than doubled it, but I was expecting that. And it's what I
wanted (well, the controls are complicated, but....)

I'm so old, when I was a kid, and even some as a young man, I used to see
signs in stores that read, "the customer is always right", and that was a
message to the clerks from mgmt.

I was pleased, and would recommend them.
