From: "Keith F. Lynch" <kfl at KeithLynch.net> To: WSFA members <WSFAlist at KeithLynch.net> Subject: [WSFA] WSFA needs a new webmaster Date: Wed, 30 Oct 2019 21:15:47 -0400 (EDT) To aid in the restoration of the 30 years of WSFA Journals that my brother and I placed online, I have placed an image of the website as of when I left the club in 2005 online at KeithLynch.net/wsfa None of the many files contain any scripts, as I had judged that there was too much risk of hacking due to poor security in the scripting languages, so they're perfectly safe to place back on the WSFA website. I've posted the above shortly before each meeting for the past two months, and also added, "In case the webmaster doesn't read this list, or in case there is no webmaster, someone please mention this at Friday's meeting, and report back to me that they did so, and what the response was. Thanks." Nobody has yet done so. I ran into Judy Scheiner at a used book sale nearly a month ago. She mentioned that the next meeting would be at Capclave. I checked the calendar at wsfa.org, out of curiosity as to whether it was listed, given that the last time I checked that calendar, it had the Scheiners and the Madigans listed as meeting hosts for the next several thousand (!) years. I got: You must reconfigure your php.ini file to have magic_quotes_gpc set to ON I tried several browsers on several computers at several IP addressses over several days, but always get the same thing, so I'm certain the problem is not on my end. This has been broken for at least two weeks. Sam Lubell recently told me that WSFA's Yahoo list is being replaced with a Googlegroups list. There's no mention of this on the website. The newest WSFA Journal on the website is more than a year old. WSFA definitely needs a new webmaster.
