I had forgotten that this list inserts the "dmarc-" into all Verizon addresses as a workaround to Verizon's misprogrammed spam filter, which discarded all messages from my list as spam. Similarly with Yahoo addresses. Tamar Lindsay <dicconf at dmarc-yahoo.com> wrote: > Yahoo groups has become a chat session - no saved messages, no > archives. Utterly useless. A member could have maintained their own archive, as I do for this list. I guess everyone was either too lazy or had too much faith in Yahoo. I hope someone is maintaining an archive of the new list, in case Google ever gets rid of their archive of it. And also because people without Google accounts can't view Google's archive of it, as far as I can tell. > Most of the groups have moved to groups.io, especially those which > had valuable archives of articles, images, etc. and managed to save > them by moving the contents themselves. > Groups.io seems to work well. I have no opinion on whether the club should move from Google to Groups.io. But I think it's a bad idea to have two lists. The club should vote for one or the other. It's also a bad idea for the club not to keep its own archive, no matter who is hosting. I encouraged the club to mirror my archives of this list, but I see the wsfa.org copy hasn't been updated since I left in 2005. (At least it's back online, as are the 30 years of WSFA Journals I put online. For about a year, they were offline.)
