Subject: [WSFA] Re: Bungalow Fourth?

Years ago in New Jersey, a friend of mine moved to a new apartment in North=
Jersey. His mail kept getting sent back 'unknown' despite his name being o=
n the mailbox and door and his rent being paid. He finally went to the post=
office and they said he had to REGISTER WITH THE POST OFFICE to get his ma=
il. That was not any law or ordinance, that was the jerk in charge acting l=
ike he was from Spain or Germany or somewhere they do that kind of thing.

I also have had post office people who were normally decent go mildly weird=
and deny me mail. I mean, weird as in, I got a physical card saying I had =
a package, being denied on the ground that it wasn't a post office card, it=
had to be UPS. But it said right on it, that it was post office.=C2=A0 I w=
aited a month and tried again and they accepted the card, no problem, and I=
got my package (it was soap by the way; I kind of wish it had been fresh f=
ish).
The weirdest part: it was the _same guy_ behind the counter.
I think they have a secret rule, that once a year they get to go crazy and =
do something mean.

There have been problems in the past with the post office returning
those cards to John rather than delivering them to me.=C2=A0 I don't know
why.=C2=A0 Perhaps because the mailbox only has my landlord/housemate's
name on it?=C2=A0 But as far as I know, nobody else's mail to me has been
returned.=C2=A0 Maybe because all the other mail was letters rather than
postcards?=C2=A0 I should try having someone else mail me a postcard to
see what happens.
