After today's Capclave hotel walk-through, I didn't even manage to get
all the way home before announcing the convention. I ran into former
WSFAn F.L. Ash on the Metro. I told him about Capclave, and probably
would have sold him a membership had I been equipped to do so.

I reminded him of which Friday is the Gillilands and which is the
Ginters, and he says he'll try to make it to a meeting. He still
isn't on the net.

Speaking of on the net, WWW.WSFA.ORG has been back online since late
last night. It's recognized from everywhere I've tried, and it
appears to be stable. If it doesn't work for you, please tell me.

As someone announced at Friday's meeting, there's a used book sale
all weekend at the Arlington library. See our calendar of upcoming
events, http://www.wsfa.org/calendar.htm (mirrored, as always, at
http://keithlynch.net/wsfa/calendar.htm, not that that should be
necessary for now) for details on that and other events.

As always, please email me any events not already listed that you
think might be of interest to other WSFAns. Thanks.

The Capclave hotel looks good. Maybe a bit on the upscale side for
us, so everyone should be on their best behavior. It would be nice to
be in the same hotel for several years. Especially when the hotel is
nowhere near New Carrollton.

Please critique the Capclave web page, http://www.wsfa.org/capc02/,
http://capclave.org/, http://www.capclave.org/, and
http://keithlynch.net/wsfa/capc02/ (all of which should
have the exact same contents). Thanks.

I recommend using "http://capclave.org/" in any announcements, since
that's short and memorable. Many thanks to Sam Lubell for snagging
and setting up that domain at his own expense.
