There was a www.fandom.com which is now owned by www.cinescape.com,  They =
had applied for a trademark on the word "fandom". The application was =
declined after they failed to respond to questions from the USPTO.

They had great copy, along the lines of "Fandom was created in 1998 by . . =
." (Oh stop sputtering.)
