I discovered this late last night after returning from the meeting and attempting to update our calendar of upcoming events. Apparently there was a database update glitch, and the corrected domain name service information was overwritten with the obsolete mai.net domain name service information. I have changed it back in time for Network Solutions' noon update. After that, it may take 24 to 48 hours to propagate to all corners of the net. Also, as a completely unrelated problem, the machine itself was down from about midnight until about 10 am. I see that there have also been several outages of ten to twenty minutes in the past week. If this recurs, I will speak to hosting.com about it. The service we're paying for is really supposed to be on a Unix host, not an NT box as it's on now. Perhaps it's just as well that we didn't mail Capclave flyers last night, since they would have resulted in lots of hits on http://capclave.org/ -- which points back at http://www.wsfa.org/capc02/ As a reminder, all WSFA web pages are mirrored at http://keithlynch.net/wsfa/ , mainly so they can be viewed there whenever our main site is down. Sam, if it's not too much effort, and if you don't mind undoing it again in a day or two, you might change http://capclave.org/ and http://www.capclave.org/ to point at http://keithlynch.net/wsfa/capc02/ until this is resolved. No big deal if you can't, as the problem should be fixed with a day or two. I'm heading to the used book sale now. I should be back by 6 pm at the latest. -- Keith F.
