No joy.  The problem isn't that the URL was long, but that it's
expired.  Pining for the fjords.  Fully 404-compliant.

I know.  In fact, we briefly exchanged email in January 1995.
Ironically, he told me in one email that the Washington Post had badly
misquoted him.  (Well, ok, Parade Magazine, but that's bundled with
the Post.)

Both are taken.  The tomclancy.com domain belongs to him.  The
tomclancy.net site belongs to someone in France.  There's also a
tomclancy.biz site which belongs to someone in Israel.  All three
sites appear to be broken.

There's also a tomclancy.org site.  It's owned by a bookseller in
Bowie.  And it's not broken.
