Seven years ago, I went to a talk by former presidential candidate
John Anderson at a nearby Jewish Community Center. As requested, I
wrote my name and street address in the sign-in book.

Ever since then, once or twice a week I've received letters asking me
to donate to various Jewish charities. For instance today I got one
from the Jewish Council for the Aging. I've never responded in any
way, but they keep coming.

By now they've spent enough on me that they could have given me a
complete enyclopedia.
