There are two events of possible interest tomorrow night:

At 7 pm P.J. O'Rourke reads from his book _The CEO of the Sofa_ at
Olsson's Metro Center, 1200 F St. NW, near the Metro Center Metro
station on the Red, Orange, and Blue lines.

At 8:15 pm John Marburger, Director of the Office of Science and
Technology Policy, gives a talk on "The Origin of Size," in the John
Wesley Powell Auditorium of the Cosmos Club, 2170 Florida Avenue NW
DC, near the Dupont Circle Metro station on the Red Line. See
http://www.philsoc.org/2002Fall/2149abstract.html

Both events are free.

This weekend is Gamecon 17 at Tysons. See http://www.novag.org/GC17.htm

I plan to attend all three events.

Tonight marks 1000 days since 12/31/1999 - 1/1/2000. We're about
1/365th of the way from the year 2000 to the year 3000.
