They stock new books, mostly overstock and remaindered, for up to 80% off. The store is about the same size and has about the same variety as an average mall bookstore. (The floor area is more like a Borders or B&N, but since the books are on tables rather than shelves, there are fewer books per unit area.) Paperbacks are typically $3. And if you buy 3 you get a 4th free. It will be open through at least the end of January. Possibly much longer. The Pan Am shopping center is in Fairfax County at the corner of Lee Highway and Nutley Street, about half a mile south of the Vienna Metro Station and the adjacent Nutley Street exit from I-66. -- Keith F.
