Sam Lubell's regular email address has been rejecting all email
for the past few days. Anything you've mailed him recently
(e.g. submissions for the WSFA Journal) should be re-sent to
samlubell at yahoo.com. I've changed his subscription address,
so anything sent to this list should get to him from now on.

We had a very successful Fifth Friday last night. Many thanks to
Elizabeth and Cat, who went beyond the call of duty to prepare and
serve hot food. We had an excellent turnout despite the drizzly
weather. Surprise guests included New Hampshire fan Ed Meskys, in
his first-ever (as far as I know) visit to a WSFA event. The event
was still going strong when I left at half past midnight.

Sam says it's ok to announce that the Capclave hotel contract is
signed, and we are returning to last year's hotel in Silver Spring.
The date has been changed to November 21-23, the last weekend before
Thanksgiving. We're offering refunds to anyone who signed up for the
old date. Sam and I will be revamping the Capclave '03 web page soon.
I think I've already fixed everywhere on the WSFA web site that the
old date was listed, or that the hotel was listed as TBA. I will
try and track down all the web sites which list us with the old date,
and ask them to change it. Sam will post an announcement to the
appropriate newsgroups.

Speaking of Silver Spring, there's a cryonics and life extension
meeting tomorrow in that town. See our calendar of upcoming events,
http://www.wsfa.org/calendar.htm

For those who haven't watched the news yet today, you might want
to do so.

See everyone on Friday.
