Subject: [WSFA] What to do with Message IDs
Reply-To: WSFA members <WSFAlist at keithlynch.net>

I emailed this before, but apparently Ted and Steve didn't see it, so
here it is again:

What to do with Message IDs:

Replace the at sign with %40, and then stick
http://groups.google.com/groups\?selm=
on the front.

So the URL for that message is:

http://groups.google.com/groups?selm=20000420134004.15443.00002202%40ng-cl1.aol.com

This should work for any newsgroup posting that was archived. (Of
course it doesn't work for message-ids in personal email or list
email. Nor should it.)
