But is there any interest in continuing past 1 am or so?  If not,
then there's no point in trying to find a location for it.

At cons, the overnight threshold seems to be about 500 or so.  At
cons smaller than that, if I stay up overnight I'm likely to find
myself alone after 3 am or so.
