No. It was because I considered it a trivial thing. I would have a lot more sympathy for the argument that I should not have listed anyone who didn't explicitly "opt in" if ANY ONE of the 29 subscribers had suggested such a thing the day I asked if anyone minded. Or the day after that. Or the day after that. Or the day after that. Or the day after that. Or the day after that. Or the day after that. Or the day after that. Nobody did. Not one. It was evident to me that NOBODY CARED. Obviously, I was mistaken. I apologize, one last and final time, for anyone whom I may have offended. However, I do not believe I acted unreasonably, much less villainously, and I am extremely angry that anyone would suggest that I did. Perhaps you were away all week, and returned just in time to see my message. But am I to believe the same is true of everyone? Including all those who were with me at the WSFA 4th of July picnic, none of whom said a word to me about livejournal? Are you aware that your name is listed in the WSFA Journal online as attending WSFA meetings? It's true that neither you nor anyone else ever objected to this "outing". But I don't recall you explicitly giving permission to do so. And that's an example of something done in a small group being made visible to the whole world. What I did is an example of something visible to the whole world that I made evident to a small group. So why aren't you even angrier about the WSFA Journal being placed online? > What exactly was your point in outing people who obviously had > pen names? Most of whom were already linked to each other. > Did you expect every to say, "Oh what a great thing!" Come on!!! Actually yes, I did. Since the thirteen who had already found each other obviously thought it was a great thing. > You also violated the privacy of at least one person on the list > of LJ people who is not on the WSFA list and had no opportunity > to "opt out". For the third and final time, all thirteen people were on this list, and remained on this list past the time when I "outed" everyone. Since you obviously want to get the last word, I will not be responding any more in this thread, which should have ended three days ago. Unless it's to correct any further blatant falsehoods which you or anyone else may post. -- Keith F.
