No.  In the future they will have figured out how to keep spurious
equal signs out of emails.  Scientists are making rapid progress,
and a breakthrough is expected by the end of the decade.

Believe it or not, it never occured to me that "is an editor" could be
construed as implying that they aren't really nice folks.  Maybe that
idea should be added to his list.
