I finally got through to our hosting company, after letting it ring
about thirty times, then going through their voice menu.

They changed everyone's password, "for our protection".

When I asked them why they didn't actually *tell* anyone, they said
it was for our protection.

I confirmed that the new password worked, then emailed to it Sam.
(My email didn't say what the password was *for*, in case someone
is able to read our email in transit.)

I was less than impressed with the fact that they didn't do anything
to ensure that I was who I claimed to be, e.g. calling me back on the
phone number listed as contact for that domain, or emailing me on the
email address listed as contact for that domain. I could have been
anyone.

I will still propose that we move to Panix.
