I generally only list events other than important conventions two months out, to keep from cluttering up the page. I doubt anyone plans more than two months away to attend a book signing. (Unless they're the author.) If I listed everything as soon as I knew about it, major cons might get lost in the clutter. Also, the bookstore doesn't yet mention it. I like to add a link from our page to where the event is mentioned on the bookstore's website. If I add the item to our page before they mention it, I have to remember to periodically check to see if the bookstore mentions it yet, so that I can edit our page to add the link. I'd rather only have to worry about each event twice. (Once to add it to our upcoming events page, and once more, after it's over, to move it to our downgoing events page.) Similarly, I haven't yet added the China Mieville signing in August that you mentioned last month. I plan to add it in June. Rest assured I haven't forgotten it. Everyone please tell me if they disagree with this policy. Thanks. -- Keith F. Lynch - http://keithlynch.net/ Please see http://keithlynch.net/email.html before emailing me.
