I agree. It's a disgrace how few time machines are included in DC's public transit system. Disclave is indeed very difficult to get to this year for those of us who don't own and operate our own time machines. > Oops -- it's not Disclave any more. Oh well. Fortunately Capclave (the new name for Disclave) is easy to reach by public transit. It's on several Metrobus lines, there's a free hotel shuttle bus from the West Falls Church Metro station, and if you're ambitious and the weather is nice you can walk from the Dunn Loring Metro station, which is closer to the con hotel than parts of the Glasgow Worldcon were to other parts of the Glasgow Worldcon. (Motorists needn't feel left out. The con hotel is immediately adjacent to a Beltway exit.) Since Capclave is only five months away, I really ought to finish writing the directions for the Capclave website. I mentioned your posting at last night's WSFA meeting, along with this reply to it (which I had mistakenly thought I had already sent) (except for this paragraph, of course), and Lee Gilliland, the con chair, said she would kiss me if you show up. -- Keith F.
