Sorry about that.  Since many articles were appearing with =20 where a
space bar belonged, I had the list software automatically replace =20
with a space bar wherever it appeared.  That was the first time in
over 5700 messages that there was a *legitimate* =20.

Since Michael Walsh's mailer seems to have been cured of this
affectation last month, I've tried turning it off.  Similarly with
turning =09 into a tab, =A1 into an upside down exclamation point, =A3
into a pound sign, and, last but not least, turning =3D into an equal
sign.  I may turn it back on if the problem recurs.
